The China Innovation and Development Association (CIDA) is pleased to announce the appointment of their first non-Chinese Chair, Ms Parvin Ali OBE of the FATIMA Women’s Network with immediate effect.

CIDA‘s mission is to promote innovation in science and technology, and to significantly contribute to bilateral co-operation and cultural exchange between China and UK.

It delivers a range of activities and programmes in association with Chinese and British universities, businesses and government agencies including:

• 21st Century China-UK Entrepreneurship Competition
• Youth Talent Forum
• China UK Innovation and Business Forum
• Anglo-Chinese Investment
• Sino-International Forum

A serial entrepreneur, Parvin Ali has been a Board Member of the East Midlands Regional Development Agency since 2005, leading on Business Support & Enterprise and a member of the Ethnic Minority Business Task Force. She has also presented on a range of issues related to enterprise and leadership development in over twenty countries including USA, Malaysia, Syria, China, Kuwait, Belgium, Italy, Norway, Ghana, Austria and the Netherlands.
