A consortium of universities has created an international competition with a prize fund of £1m to encourage new business ventures between China and the UK.
The competition, which is now in its third year, will see 32 teams of student-led start-ups selected to take part. Individual prizes of up to £10,000 will be awarded to several candidates with an investment opportunity of £250,000 reserved for the overall winner.
The competition was launched at the University of York and the winner will be announced at the finals at University College London in June.
Entrants must submit an executive summary of their idea by February 26. Details are available at www.chinaukchallenge.com.
No sector will be excluded although start-up proposals must link the UK with China.
